This microbrew/cider tasting and chili cook-off is held annually on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The festival features some of the area’s best microbrews, ciders and homemade chili recipes. Admission to the Brew, Bean & Craft Festival includes a sampling of each entry, and guests are asked to cast their vote for the winners. The “Make it, Bake It, Grow It” Craft Bazaar and live music round out the perfect day as guests “eat, drink and be merry!”

Sponsored by the SNPJ Slovenian Heritage Center, Heritage Center Weekend is a weekend event held in June that promises something fun for everyone as we learn about the Slovenian heritage. Bring the family out for dinner in the Gostilna (club room) on Friday and stick around for the evening entertainment. Throw up a tent or spend the night in one of our cabins so you don’t miss any of the action on Saturday as we celebrate our Slovenian heritage. Enjoy an afternoon of activities planned for young and old alike before dancing the evening away in the Heritage Pavilion.
Slovenefest is an annual three-day event held the second weekend of July at the SNPJ Recreation Center, bringing together thousands to enjoy the food, music, culture and fun of Slovenia. For more information about this year’s festival, visit www.slovenefest.com.
SNPJ hosts its National SNPJ Days festivities each Labor Day weekend at the SNPJ Recreation Center. In addition to the SNPJ members-only athletic tournaments scheduled throughout the weekend, National SNPJ Days activity includes evening entertainment, games for the children, and the annual National SNPJ Days Picnic.
The summer activities at the SNPJ Recreation Center wind down with the Wine, Sausage & Craft Festival, an annual event that is scheduled this year on Saturday, September 26. Similar to our Brew, Bean & Craft Festival, admission to the Wine, Sausage & Craft Festival includes a sampling of each locally-made entry, and guests are asked to vote for their favorites while browsing through the “Make it, Bake It, Grow It” Craft Bazaar and enjoying the afternoon entertainment. Who are the best wine and sausage makers in the region? You be the judge!
